Solid state drives are hot. I can't emphasize that point enough to someone who hasn't ever used one in their computer. With an OS loaded onto a small SSD, your computer will positively scream. If you really want to amp things up another level, grab a second SSD and load all of your games onto it. You'll need a larger drive, though...something like this 250 GB Real SSD from Crucial. (via Akihabara News)

This 2.5” drive brags a read speed of 355 MB/s. It supports next generation SATA 6Gb/s and has high-speed synchronous NAND. An SSD this sexy doesn't come cheap, though. You're looking at $800 for the 250 GB version, and $500 for the 128 GB version. That's pricey as hell, but worth it for the hard-core gamer.
