About half of iPod Touch users download a paid app at least once a month, and the average user spends 100 minutes with their apps every month. Both statistics are the highest in a survey that included owners of Palm and Android devices, as well as the iPhone.

The results of a survey from Admob were released today, and the results showed that all platforms had substantial app activity from a gauntlet of users. However, the biggest discrepancy came in terms of who is willing to spend money on their apps.

Android users were the least likely to pay for an app. Only 21% of the survey respondents said they purchased at least one app a month. That's compared to 50% for iPod Touch owners, and 35% for iPhone owners. Palm was in the middle - 35% of people with a Palm OS device download paid apps on a regular basis.

In terms of pure numbers, the average iPod Touch owner is the most likely to download a lot of apps. They average 12/month.

Finally, the amount of time that users spent with their apps a month was not hugely discrepant. Those with iPhones logged an average of 79 minutes a month, followed by Android (80 minutes), Palm (87), and iPod Touch (100).
