Super Talent offered up its latest USB 3.0 drive at CeBIT this week called the SuperCrypt Drive. The drive is encrypted with 128-bit ECB encryption and a SuperCrypt Pro version uses 256-bit XTS encryption. Both the encryption options are based on AES.

The drives will come in 16GB, 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB capacities. With USB 3.0 connectivity, the drive is good for up to 240MB/s performance. The SuperCrypt drives measure 95 x 34 x 15.4mm and works in USB 2.0 ports as well.

Super Talent says that the new drives will ship this month and is mum on pricing at this time. We can expect the first round of USB 3.0 gear to command a premium. There have been lots more notebooks and mainboard unveiled recently with USB 3.0 ports, the market is starting to come together for these products.
