When I was a kid my favorite show was Battlestar Galactica, I was mad when they cancelled the show. I was glad to see it come back on Syfy and was bummed again when they cancelled the show. If you are a fan of the show NBC Universal and Bigpoint have announced that they will be developing a browser-based MMO based on the show.

I admit I am skeptical of a browser-based MMO for the BSG franchise. It seems they could do the show more justice with a real video game, but I will hold judgment until I see the final product. The companies promise to push visual and technology boundaries.

We will just have to wait and see. The screens I have seen look pretty cool. The game was announced at the 2010 Game Developers Conference. There are few details on the game like launch date and if it will be a free or paid game.
