OWC Mercury On-The-Go Pro Grows To 1TB

Storage is like money, you can never have too much. OWC, the company well known for catering to the whims of Mac users around the world has announced a new larger capacity version of the Mercury On-The-Go Pro bus powered external HDD. The drive has 56% more storage capacity and can connect to FireWire or USB ports.

The new model of the drive has 1TB of storage space in a 2.5-inch form factor. Before the 1TB version of the drive debuted, the highest capacity in the line was 640GB. The 1TB drive can be had in three different configurations.

The configs include a triple interface FireWire 800/400 and USB 2.0 drive for $269.99. A combo interface version has a FireWire400 and USB 2.0 port for $249.99, and a USB 2.0 only version sells for $229.99.
