We have talked about the somewhat cool Kempler & Strauss W Phone Watch before. The device is exactly what it sounds like, a wristwatch that has a phone built-in Dick Tracey style. The standard model of the WatchPhone is a black plastic device that looks rather cheap.

The company has announced a new limited edition version of the WatchPhone at CTIA Wireless that is gold. The gold version will be limited to only 1000 units and will ship in Q3. The gold version will have the same features as the black version of the watch.

The phone inside operates on GSM networks at 850/900/1800/1900MHz and has a 1.5-inch TFT screen. The screen is touch capable and the watch measures 57 x 45 x 18mm and weighs 2.5 ounces. The standard version of the WatchPhone sells for $199, no word on pricing for the gold version at this time.
