Samsung Wave Becomes World's First DivX HD Certified Handset

We already know all there is to know about the Samsung Wave that is set to launch here in the US next month. The device has all sorts of features that will turn the fancy of smartphone users all around the country.

The handset has a smoking S8500 CPU running at 1GHz and has Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11n WiFi, and supports 720p HD video. The device also uses the sexy AMOLED OnCell display.

Samsung announced today that the Wave has now been DivX HD certified and it is the first handset to receive the certification. The handset will operate on Samsung's Bada platform and is still set to launch next month.
