Samsung has just signed a $240 million deal with Apple to supply the displays for their line of iPad tablets. Korea Times (via Electronista) reports that Samsung has just signed on to handle a 3 million LCD display order for Apple iPad displays.

An industry insider reports that the deal is worth roughly $240 million. The display is the most expensive part of the iPad. It costs around $80 per unit, and that cost is the same for every model of iPad. Samsung is also (allegedly) in talks with Apple to supply the screens for their next-generation iPhones.
