After you're finished watching Lost on your iPad, you can read some iPad-exclusive Disney e-books, check out a brand new ESPN app, and then skim through hundreds of Marvel comics.

All those features will be available on the iPad, as confirmed by a massive announcement today by Disney. Every single one of its main properties will be featured on Apple's device - ABC, ESPN, Marvel, and of course all of the Disney-branded stuff.

The announcement today includes the following:

- An iPad-specific version of ABC's online video player will be available, allowing users to watch full episodes of Lost, Flash Forward, Grey's Anatomy, and several other ABC shows.

- Disney Publishing will release exclusive e-books, starting off with two Toy Story read-along books for children.

- An iPad-optimized version of Disney.com will be available, providing movie and TV show clips directly accessible to the device.

- ESPN will release a few new apps for the iPad, including ScoreCenter XL, which provides instant access to recent game scores, news, and video. Exclusive content will also be made available.

- Over 500 Marvel comics will also be available for purchase on the iPad. Disney acquired the comic book giant for a record-breaking $4 billion less than a year ago.

"The iPad provides a very compelling consumer experience, and we are pleased to have new forms of original, interactive content on this great device," said Disney CEO Bob Iger.

Disney has a good history with Apple. It was one of the flagship studios to offer movie downloads on iTunes, and there are Disney apps available on the iPhone.
