Canon Unveils New Pro XF305 And XF300 Camcorders

Canon has a wealth of camcorders that it offers in all sorts of different classes. The company has unveiled a pair of new camcorders aimed at the professional market called the XF305 and the XF300. The new camcorders both us eMPEG-2 4:2:2 50Mbps codec also known as the Canon XF Codec for capturing and recording native 1080 resolution video.

Both for the cameras record the video to CF cards and store both video and metadata at the same time. Exact pricing on the cameras is $7,999 for the XF305 and $6,799 for the XF300. The camcorders use three native 1920 x 1080 CMOS image sensors and the Canon XF Codec for color detail.

Other features include image stabilization, manual focus, and more. Both cameras are set to ship in late June. Each of the devices uses a 4-inch LCD for watching video playback.
