Google as had all sorts of flack from its Street view service. The company routinely blocks some photos taken by its fleet of Street View vehicles at the request of governments and other users.

Some are now blaming the Street View service for burglaries. One homeowner says that he has been robbed three times because of Street View. He believes that the robberies happened because Street View images showed the contents of his garage.

Google for its part maintains that here is no way to say its photos of the contents of the man's garage contributed to the theft at all. Google says that anyone driving down the street could see the same garage contents as its images show.
