When it comes to keeping your gadgets running longer while you are out of the home or office, you often have to look to an external battery of some sort. The Freeplay ZipCharge is one of those external batteries.

The interesting thing about this one is that the maker claims with a 60-second charge the battery can last for hours. If you charge the thing for 10 minutes, the runtime is claimed to be an extra 10 hours of talking on your mobile.

That 15-minute charge can recharge your iPod fully and give you an extra 800 pictures. A 60-second charge promises two more hours of iPod playback and 80 more pics from your camera. The thing sells for £49.95 and is available now.
