Since I upgraded to the iPhone 3GS I haven't needed a dedicated PND because my iPhone has all the GPS apps I could need. Many people who used to use a PND now do the same thing I do with their iPhone.

Garmin has unveiled a new GPS device called the nuvi 3700 series. All for the devices in the new line have the same thin 9mm profile and look a lot like an iPhone or an iPod touch. The devices have a touchscreen and can be used in portrait or landscape modes.

The line will include the nuvi 3790T, 3760T, and 3750. Both the T models will have Bluetooth. The 3790T also features a wake-up phrase that initiates voice-activated navigation. The devices are made to work for drivers and walkers. Pricing and availability are unknown.
