Sweet, sweet rumor confirmation. Yesterday we wrote that several signs pointed towards Radio Shack dumping Palm (or at least the Pre and Pixi) from their stores. While a Radio Shack Media Relations Manager denied this, Barrons reports that Sprint has confirmed the rumors.

Radio Shack is phasing out both the Pre and the Pixi in favor of two newer devices. One of the devices will be a BlackBerry. The Pixi is expected to be replaced by a “message-centric” device. That narrows the possibilities down, but not by much.
