PETA is one of those groups it's just best to not tick off. They have a lot of power, and the activist roots needed to make that power truly annoying. Right now that power is being focused on a vile enemy indeed; the Facebook game 'Mafia Wars'. Wait, seriously?

Fudzilla reports that PETA is angry at a scene involving a dog fight. As a result, they are calling for a boycott of the game. Nevermind that 'Mafia Wars' also shows murder and robbery. PETA believes that “portraying dogs and other animals as nothing more than living weapons encourages people to abuse animals in real life.”

Thankfully, real people are capable of distinguishing fantasy from reality. If they weren't, we'd have a lot more to fear from 'Mafia Wars' than animal abuse. Thousands of school-aged kids would be clustering up in little 'crime families', gunning each other down and fighting tooth-and-nail for territory.
