Last year, Microsoft pulled the rug out from under Sony by taking away Final Fantasy and Metal Gear exclusivity. This year, the tables might be turned, if there's any truth to the latest E3 rumor.

There's a list being passed around the blogs today that lists a "Pre E3 line up" of games that are supposedly "confirmed" by publishers. It's unknown exactly where this list comes from, but it does seem suspect.

So with more than a grain of salt needed to digest this, the list includes Mass Effect 3 on PS3. It's not the craziest news possible, because even though Mass Effect is an iconic Xbox 360 exclusive it is not developed by a 2nd-party developer to Microsoft. It's Bioware, which has released numerous cross-platform titles.

As Spong reports, though, at least part of the list has already been vehemently refuted. A game called Twisted Metal: Harbor City was put on the list; the man behind the Twisted Metal series, David Jaffe, wrote a very convincing Twitter post that denied that there was even such a title in development, let alone that it would show up at E3.

So for PS3 devotees, keep this one in the "we can dream" files for now. Bigger E3 surprises have happened, though. I wouldn't rule out the possibility entirely.
