The PS3 plans cover all shipping charges and reports that are performance by PlayStation trained service techs at authorized repair facilities.

The plans will be offered starting this month. A 1-year PS3 plan is $44.99, a 2-year extension is $59.99. A 1-year PSP plan is $29.99 and a 2-year plan is $39.99. Adding the accidental damage plan for the PSP is $39.99 for a year or $49.99 for two years. The new plans are only available for devices that are still in their original 1-year warranty period and new purchases.
