A new slate of downloadable content (DLC) is heading to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, as a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. So yet again, Microsoft most likely dumped a huge pile of cash at Activision's doorstep.
The Resurgence Pack download will add a handful of new locations including a carnival-style funhouse and a gas station depot.

Modern Warfare 2 has had a bit of a rocky DLC history already. The first pack, "Stimulus Package," was pushed back a few weeks from its initial scheduled release. Then when it was finally put out on the Xbox 360, Microsoft screwed up the download and locked out Modern Warfare 2 players who bought the content from being able to play the game at all.

Hopefully Activision and Microsoft have both learned lessons from that experience and will make the Resurgence Pack download release run as smoothly as possible.

The new pack will be available June 3 for the Xbox 360, with other consoles to follow at an as-yet unspecified date. A price has not yet been announced, though the Stimulus Package DLC was around $15.
