Asus is planning what might be the coolest netbook ever, according to the Inquirer. This new netbook will have a slot-in phone that powers your netbook with 3G when slotted in. This sounds like the most convenient thing ever. One SIM card, one data plan, two 3G devices.

The phone section is made by Modu, an Israeli company. You can see it here in all its modular glory. The Modu-p comes with a wide variety of different face-plates, and a whole slew of electronic accessories. The website seems to be having some issues right now, but the concepts look incredibly cool. Hopefully this “out of the box” thinking is backed up by solid engineering and quality control.
