3D TVs are the new thing in 2010, but are they a great Father's Day Gift?
If your Dad needs a new TV, then the new 3D TVs are worth considering. James Cameron sees 3D to become the standard format after all.
If your Dad never went to a 3D showing of a movie, then the chances are high that he will not adopt it. I am sure my father will not watch a movie in 3D on his TV. I am already impressed that he has a flat screen TV since a couple of month now.

The market for 3D TVs is still in its early days. Content is sparse. This summer the PS3 will be 3D enabled, but again if your Dad is not a gamer then 3D TVs are not for him.

If your Dad is already watching 3D movies in theaters and is an early adopter in general, a 3D TV is an awesome gift, albeit an expensive one. Shop for 3D TVs on Amazon.

Father's Day 2010 is on June 20th. Find gift ideas for Dads and Grads in our new gift guide for 2010.
