Nissan has a new all electric car coming to the US market soon called the LEAF. The machine is 100% electric and not a hybrid vehicle like the Toyota Prius. Nissan is offering the car for reservation right now for those interested in owning the vehicle.

If you want one of the new EV's you can reserve one for $99. That $99 apparently is nothing more than a placeholder that gets you a spot in the line for a vehicle. Nissan points out that the availability of the LEAF will be very limited.

The $99 does not guarantee you a vehicle either and it's not a down payment. However, the fee is refundable if you don’t get your hands on a LEAF. The MSRP of the car is $32780 and some buyers will qualify for a $7500 tax credit on the purchase.
