Samsung's first smartphone to run the Bada OS could be launching in the “next few weeks”, according to a report from Reuters. Samsung realizes they have gotten into the game late. If Bada OS is to have any hope of success, it needs to start gobbling up market share as quickly as possible.

The Samsung Wave will launch in the “coming weeks” in Britain and Germany. It will open its own app store in June as well. In total, Samsung plans to launch one-third of its planned smartphone portfolio with the Bada OS this year. If they are lucky, that might even be enough.
