There are a few things I could live without as far as tech goes and a few things I would not live without. If push came to shove, I would not give up things like my DVR or computer I would be willing to give up my iPhone, assuming I could have some other smartphone.

Folks in the UK would sooner give up their flushing toilets than the iPhone though. Which is surprising considering before the flushing toilet you had to use chamber pots and dump the refuse out each night.

The iPhone was number eight on the list of things the survey showed people could not live without. The internet was fourth, the PC was fifth, and telephones were sixth. The wheel was the top thing the person could not live without with the light bulb second.
