Google has had quite a few milestones to announce today. They just hit their billionth mile navigated by Google Navigator. They thought it would take them a year to make it half that far. It was also announced that Android is showing 100,000 activations per day. Google also bragged over admob's finding that Android is number 1 in web usage.

The most exciting brag of the keynote involved the Android Market. As of today, the Market has officially crossed 50,000 available applications. Android's position as a leader in the market is well cemented now. Apple can say what they will; it won't stop Android from nipping at the iPhone's heels, and maybe more!

The keynote is still ongoing here.
