One of the cool things about owning a 3D printer is that if you are the design type you can create real versions of anything your mind can dream up. The downside is that those 3D printers are very expensive to purchase.

One geek has used his design chops and 3D printer to build an iPhone case that is cool, but would get you in lots of trouble here in the US and probably other places. The case was designed with the handle of a Ruger LCR Revolver.

The iPhone slips into a box with cutouts for the home button and ports that sits where the barrel normally would. The pieces of the case printed with the 3D printer are held together with epoxy and crazy glue.
