Acer America has just sent out a press release announcing the launch of the Liquid E smartphone in Canada through Rogers. The Liquid E sports a 3.5” capacitive touchscreen, 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, an embedded 3D graphics accelerator, b/g WiFi, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps and 5 hours of talk time.

The Liquid E runs Android 2.1. It packs a 5 MP camera with a 720p camcorder, integrated GPS and Google Latitude. Pricing starts at $49.99 with a 3-year contract.
