AUO Set To Show Off Interesting Display Tech At Display Taiwan 2010

AUO has announced that it will be showing off some cool tech in Taiwan this month. Among the gear that it will be displaying is the world's largest projected capacitive touch panel at 32-inches. The display supports up to ten points of touch at one time.

The company will also show off a 58-inch CinemaScope Led HDTV with a resolution of 2560 x 1080 that supports the 21:9 aspect ratio of a movie screen. A super thin HD Led backlit panel measuring 46-inchs and only 10.8mm thick will be on display.

The coolest thing AUO will be showing off is a 2.4-inch AMOLED in-cell touch panel that is transparent. The panel is being aimed at the GPS device market where the user can see through the screen and GPS directions will be overlaid o the real world view.
