People leave jobs all the time and typically, it's only important to the person doing the job changing. A significant member of the WebOS development team by the name of Rich Dellinger has left Palm. The move comes in the wake of the HP takeover of Palm.

Dellinger is important because he was the man who developed the slick WebOS notification banner service. This might be bad news for WebOS fans, but if you are an iPhone fan this is great news.

Dellinger has left Palm for Apple. We can only dream that he will be hard at work designing a smoother and less intrusive notification system for the iPhone. The fact that you have to stop whatever you are doing and respond to a notification on the iPhone irks me.
