Nintendo kicked off its E3 presentation today with the announcement of the newest Zelda game, "Skyward Sword." Among other enhancements, this game is the first Zelda title to incorporate Wii Motion Plus controls.
It looks like standard Zelda fare for the most part, but Nintendo is stressing the much more accurate motion controls. During a demonstration, Nintendo genius Shigeru Miyamoto showed how users must hold the nunchuck like a real shield, and the sword controls are much more fluid than the previous Zelda game, which had a clunky feel at times.

E3 is a comfortable home for new Zelda products. The flagship Wii game Zelda: Twilight Princess was unveiled there, and it is a sure-fire way to incite fanboy excitement.

E3 2010 will start on June 15th and we will be at the show to bring your first hand coverage of the hottest new gaming gear. We expect to see and go hands on with the Nintendo 3DS, Playstation Move and Kinect for Xbox 360.
Update:
Zelda Skyward Sword will ship in 2011.
