The first Barnes & Noble Nook that turned up sported WiFi and 3G connectivity like the Kindle before it. The 3G was cool and all, but there were lots of users who only wanted WiFi and a cheaper price in their eReader.

A new version of the Nook has landed at Best Buy for pre-order that has WiFi only. The device also sells for $149.99 making it considerably cheaper than the 3G version. The eReader has a 6-inch screen, 2GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot.

Power comes from a lithium-polymer battery and the reader has a 3.5mm headphone jack and can play music. Pre-orders are set for deliver between June 28 and July 3.
