OK, this is a weird product. The thing is called the VIOlight and it is the first cell phone sanitizer to use ultraviolet light to kill germs. The UV light kills strep, recoil, salmonella, listeria, and H1N1.

The UV light is very effective at killing these germs. In fact, you will find UV lights in most hospitals and many doctors' offices as well to help kill germs. The cell phone sanitizer is powered by 3AA batteries and produces UV light to sanitize your phone.

It promises to sanitize your device in less than five minutes, has dual UV bulbs, and produces ozone. The maker promises the UV light will eliminate 99% of germs on your device. Pricing is unknown, but the VIOlight is set for an October 2010 launch.
