Scientists have just developed a new super-material. A Chinese research group has just discovered that a substance known as BC5, which contains a huge amount of boron and has a diamond's hardness and overall durability. While diamonds act as insulators in electronics, BC5 is a superconductor.

This makes the synthesized material a superior choice for any electronics application. Yanming Ma, a professor from Jilin University, believes that BC5 "can be adapted to design new superconducting nano-electromechanical systems and high-pressure devices."

Nice work, Science.
