Android 2.2: Droid THEN Droid X

Motorola Droid customers don't have much longer to wait for Android 2.2, aka Froyo. The much-lauded update's source code has just been released. Android and Me reports that a leaked Verizon image places the Droid's update day as some time in late July.

The Droid X won't see 2.2 until the next month. X owners won't have to wait long from purchase day to the release of sweet frozen yogurt-y goodness. Those of us with Evos and older devices still have a long wait ahead of us. Android 2.2 is the best argument in favor of jailbreaking you are likely to find.
