The IPhone 4 Case Reception Issue Is Software Related?

Earlier this morning we reported on stories that the iPhone 4's fancy new case-mounted wireless radios were messing up due to human hand contact. Multiple reports and videos showed the smartphone's wireless signal plummet when held. Thankfully, it now seems that the cause of this issue is not in the iPhone's construction.

BGR reports that a YouTube video shows an iPhone 3G experiencing the same problem. Obviously, this means the issue is unlikely to be a result of the new iPhone's construction. Check the video to see the glitch in action. Update:
