iPhone 4 case makers need to adjust their marketing material to benefit from the iPhone 4 reception issue. This limitation on having to hold the iPhone 4 in a certain way to avoid reception loss could be huge opportunity for case makers. As reported a case like Apple's own iPhone 4 Bumper is fixing the problem.
Of course Apple could have slapped plastic coating over the frame in the first place. Wait for the iPhone 5 to see this.

I do not like to use cases. I use a felt sleeve when I transport my iPhone in my pant pocket. When I use it I want to just deal with the device and not have a case strapped onto it.

If the reception loss turns out to become a real annoyance for customers than they will have to get a case for the iPhone 4. Apple is also selling the iPhone 4 Bumper case.
