The Microsoft Kin will receive its first big software update later this summer. WMPowerUser reports that a Microsoft Social Forums moderator responded to a complaint by stating that an update was already “in the works” and was to be delivered by mid-summer.

No official contents for the update have been given. It is believed to add in Twitter replies, retweet, and improved Facebook photo-viewing. Mid-summer likely means late next month, but we'll see what date Microsoft actually manages.
