The name Dyson is associated mostly with vacuums and fans that have no blades by most of us. Product designers also know the Dyson name from the James Dyson Award contest.

The contest lets product designers submit their designs and the chosen winner actually has a chance of being produced. One of the more geeky products entered into the contest are the Treadway Wearable Mobility devices.

They strap over your shoes, are controlled by a wireless handheld controller, and get power from a rechargeable battery. They are sort of like Heelys for adults who don’t like to walk under their own power.
