Sony Offers New 3D Ready Receivers And Blu-ray Player

Sony has announced some new home theater gear for consumers looking to move into 3D viewing. The new products include the ES AV receivers with models STR-DA5600ES, STRA-DA4600ES, and STR-DA 3600ES. A new 3D Blu-ray player called the BDP-S1700Es has also been unveiled.

The receivers all feature control over IP and 3D pass through capability. An iPhone app will be offered allowing control of the receivers via the iPhone. The 5600 and 4600 versions offer the ability to distribute video into multiple rooms with CAT5 and a second HDMI. Pricing ranges from $800 to $2000.

The S1700Es Blu-ray player supports 3D content and has integrates 802.11n WiFi. The device can be controlled via the iPhone or iPod touch. The device has DVD upscaling to 1080p and 1GB of integrated memory. It will sell for $400 in August.
