Sprint announced a new Android smartphone from Samsung today dubbed Samsung Intercept. The Samsung Intercept has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and runs Android 2.1.

Other features of the Samsung Intercept include 3.2-inch, touch-screen display, 3.2 MP camera and video, MP3 Player with MicroSD card slot, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi capability, integrated GPS navigation and accelerometer.

The 3G Samsung Intercept has a price of $99.99 (excluding taxes) after a $100 mail-in-rebate with a two-year service agreement on a new line activation or eligible upgrade on an Everything Plan with data.
Sprint will start selling the Samsung Intercept on July 11th in grey steel and satin pink.
