If you're looking to buy a new netbook, you should probably wait until mid-August. Digitimes reports that both Acer and Asustek will wait until the middle of August to launch any new machines. In the meantime, both companies have just finished "digesting" their inventory of last-generation machines.

Single-core netbooks won't sell well when their dual-core cousins cost only $20 more. Once the old inventory is cleared we'll start to see new machines.
