The world's leading Android smartphone manufacturer has no current plans to develop an iPad rival. Despite a trickle of rumors earlier this year, HTC's global PR lead Eric Lin denied that his company had any plans for such a device. Pocket Lint reports;

"We are always looking at it, but, right now, the whole idea is that in order to be successful with a tablet, you need to have something compelling. And not just a compelling form factor".

So there you have it; HTC won't roll out a tablet until they can think of something to set their product apart from the masses. I think this will prove to be a wise move from HTC. If they can avoid diluting their brand by rolling out a line of bland iPad-clones, people might actually listen when they decide they have something unique to show.
