One of the gobs of new features for Apple devices running iOS4 is iPod Out. This feature allows the iPod or iPhone to send the menus of the device out for display on external screens. BMW has stated that it will support the feature in its cars.

This means that BMW and Mini owners will be able to see the menus from the iPod or iPhone right on the screen of the BMW vehicles entertainment and navigation system. This is a cool feature for the drive because they will know how to navigate the menus already.

For BMW the feature means the company doesn't have to design its own interface. There is no word on when the feature will show up in vehicles for sale.
