Most tablets are wusses. The iPad is all slim and pretty, but it also has a nasty tendency to be destroyed when dropped from a middling height or stuffed in an industrial blender. If you want a tablet with a bit more survivability, Xplore may have the product for you. They've just sent out a press release announcing the launch of their new iX104C4HD tablet.

This rugged slate can handle up to 26 drops from a height of 2 meters while in operation. It has an AllVue Xtreme LCD screen for viewing in various lighting conditions, dual mode technology for pen and touch input, and MIL-STD-810F compliance. It also has an Intel Core Duo processor and Windows 7.

No details on price or further hardware have been released yet. You can take a gander at this tablet's earlier iteration for an idea of what to expect inside.
