Acer has something very cool waiting in the wings. Digitimes reports that the company has a 7" and a 10" tablet PC due to launch in the fourth quarter. Both devices are ARM-based and run on the Android OS. Acer is apparently courting several telecom carriers in order to market both devices.

Both slates will have "multimedia entertainment capabilities", which is a fancy way to say they won't be boring e-readers, and support for Adobe Flash with Android 2.2. We've seen a glimpse of one Acer tablet already (said to pack 3G and be launching this Fall) so these rumors deserve some weight.
