If you've been looking for an iPad alternative that will make you unique among your friends, the HiPad P168 bears some looking into. It has a 7" display with WiFi, AV-out, 800 MHz Samsung CPU, 256 MB of RAM, and 2 GB of ROM. The 2100 mAH battery gives you 5-6 hours of work time and can be traded up for a solar charger/battery kit.

The HiPad accepts up to a 32 GB microSD card and also comes with USB 2.0 connections. The touchscreen is resistive, which may push some users away off the bat. The OS is Android 1.6 and pricing starts at a humble $229.99. You'll have to order it from ChinaGrabber.
