Austria, Hong Kong, Mexico, and Singapore, come on down! You're among the next contestants to get on the official list of countries to get the iPad!
The following countries will become outfitted with iPads as soon as Apple begins shipping them on Friday, as per an announcement from the high-tech company this morning.

Hong Kong
The Netherlands
New Zealand

That brings the total number of countries that Apple supports enough to provide them with iPads, to 19. That is an impressive number, but it definitely makes sense. The market for shipping out iPads to unofficial countries is still lucrative, and Apple still has restrictions on people who buy several iPads to prevent them from being shipped to other countries.

So it makes sense that Apple would want to profit directly from people in foreign countries who want their own iPad. Of course, that adds to the logistical hassle but apparently Apple has decided the cost of that is worth the revenue in the end.

All nine of the newly announced countries will be receiving every one of the six iPad models available, including both Wi-Fi and 3G models.
