The iPhone 4's antenna issues and subsequent press release have dominated the tech blogs for several days now. RIM and Nokia responded almost immediately, while HTC's response has been somewhat tardier. Pocket Lint reports that the smartphone manufacturer has finally worked up the guts to hit back at Apple.

In their press conference, the Droid Eris was specifically singled out as a phone that suffered from the same sort of "death grip, dropped call" issues as the iPhone 4. HTC's rejoinder is that only .016% of customers have complained, a fraction of the half-a-percent of iPhone 4 customers who complained.
