As Android owners continue to wait patiently for the latest version of the mobile operating system, a test build of Android 2.2 has been leaked for Samsung's Galaxy S platform.
A German version of Android 2.2 has popped up on Samsung Firmwares, an unofficial site that offers firmware downloads for a variety of Samsung handsets.

It is a 252 MB download and supports 22 different languages, including English. The file is not live yet, but should be available early tomorrow morning.

Unfortunately, though, it will not work for users with an American Samsung Vibrant or Captivate; this international file will not run on a US Galaxy S device.

Android 2.2 is already available on Google's proprietary Nexus One phone, and it should be made available to the Droid and Droid X soon, with an official update to Samsung Galaxy S expected within the coming months.
