HP Adds New GPU Option To EliteBook 8740W

HP has announced a new upgrade to the high-end EliteBook 8740W notebook. This machine is a beast of a notebook aimed at the pro user that is in an aluminum chassis that is gunmetal color and rugged.

HP has announced that it is adding a new GPU option to the list for the machine. The new GPU available for the machine is the NVIDIA Quadro FX 5000M. That GPU has a whopping 2GB of RAM, which is a lot for a mobile GPU.

The desktop version of that same GPU packs in 2.5GB of RAM. The mobile GPU has 320 cores. The machine can also be fitted with an Extreme Edition CPU and up to 16GB of RAM. Pricing on the notebook is unknown.
