Apple has announced that the latest beta version for iOS 4.1 is available for download on the developer site. The new version is iOS 4.1 Beta 2.

The OS supports the iPhone 4, 3GS, and 3G smartphones. The Beta OS also supports the iPod touch second and third generation iPods. The beta reportedly fixes a few issues with the iPhone 4.

Among the issues, that the beta OS fixes is the issue with the proximity sensor that many have been complaining of since the device launched. The beta also reportedly fixes some of the sluggishness that iOS 4 has shown on the iPhone 3G and 3GS.
